Brendoncare – Otterbourne Hill

“Brendoncare is delighted to have received a very generous grant of £15,000 from the Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust towards a pioneering new dementia service, Shared Care at Otterbourne Hill.

Shared Care at Otterbourne Hill, Hampshire will be the first service of its kind in the UK. It will enable couples affected by dementia to remain living together with all the care and support they might need throughout their journey with dementia. The development will combine three core services on one dedicated site including a community and resource hub, apartments for couples affected by dementia and a 64 bedroom care home providing specialist dementia care.

Thanks to the support of the Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust we will be able to provide a home cinema in the community hub. This will provide an opportunity for residents, carers and people affected by dementia in the local area to enjoy watching a range of films with friends and family in a safe and relaxing dementia-friendly environment.

Thank you very much to the Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust for your generosity.”
