The UK’s only Safer Ageing charity, Hourglass, were delighted to receive a £4,000 donation from The Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust, towards their new Community Response Hub in East Anglia.
They said:
“We’re incredibly grateful for this kind and generous donation, which will go toward helping us set up our safer ageing Community Response Hub. The Hub includes a Helpline offering localised knowledge to older victims of abuse, in-person one-to-one support with trained volunteers and staff, as well as pop-up clinics for further support across the region. This significant donation contributes to ensuring everyone across East Anglia knows where to go for help if an older person is facing abuse, so that together we can all age safely.”
