Ivybridge Ring & Ride provide a range of transport services in the local community for the benefit of the elderly, disabled and geographically isolated.
“Our door to door services enable these groups of people to maintain some independence through enabling them to access amenities such as supermarkets, town shops and medical facilities, as well as providing them with the opportunity to meet and socialise with others in similar situations”
“We started fundraising for our new 8 seat wheelchair accessible mini bus in September 2019, we have been successful and managed to raise £33,605 and are pleased to announce that we have now been able to purchase the new bus. ”
“Who knew when we started the fundraising that we would be having to adapt our services to help get food and shopping to people during the COVID 19 lockdown.
Our funding has come from various charitable trusts but we would like to say thank you to the Elise Pilkington Trust for their very generous donation of £7000. Hopefully we will be able to welcome our passengers back on board soon, when we get back to a ‘new normal”
