“We at Moorcroft wish to say a huge THANK YOU to the good people at the Elise Pilkington Trust who have generously supported our very much needed Lower Yard Development this year. The generous and worthwhile trust has helped this charity in the past and we are very lucky to have received a further financial gift which has really helped us. The rebuild of this yard now means we can help many more horses back to health and soundness through our rehabilitation programme here. Otherwise, we may have had to turn them down which we would not have wanted to do.
All horses have a slightly bigger stable as when convalescing this makes a big difference to their mental health and their comfort which is clear to see. Working on the yard has been made easier with this newbuild made possible by your donation, as we were able to make some changes which have all proved to be very successful. The feed room is bigger making life easier and safer and we now have a small hay barn in this yard which saves time and labour and has proved invaluable in this long cold and wet winter. Even the covered canopy/walkway has pleased our farrier as he has not got wet when shoeing the horses!
