“The Elise Pilkington Trust awarded SERVE £5k to support people who suffer from dementia and their carers with memory café activities.
The funds have been vital to provide consistent opportunities to socialise with carers and volunteers.
The service users have enjoyed music activities and different arts and crafts to be able to interact without the feeling of being misunderstood.
The memory café has provided a safe space in a supported and engaging environment. The service users are able to share concerns with their carers, find support through other NHS pathways whilst enjoying the company of their peers.
There have been 546 attendances to the memory café within the last year.”
