“We are so grateful to the trustees of The Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust for their recent grant which will enable us to purchase a Rea wheelchair and Arjo Sara Stedy. For our frail elderly patients who are approaching the end of their lives, losing their independence can be frightening. They have to depend on others to facilitate activities they previously took for granted. The Arjo Sara Stedy enables easy transfer into the Rea electric wheelchair, opening up new opportunities: visiting the garden, going out for coffee and even going on short walks with family. This grant will enable our patients to focus on living and will add significant quality to their lives.”
